The EdgeAI-Trust project participated in the Technology Acceptance Workshop held in Modena, Italy, bringing together representatives from several ongoing European research and innovation initiatives. Organized in a hybrid format, the workshop provided a collaborative environment for discussing technology adoption, user acceptance, regulatory considerations, and future research opportunities across multiple domains.

Fostering Collaboration and Future Innovation

The workshop gathered participants from projects including MOSAIC, EECONE, SC4EU, AIMS5.0, SHIFT2SDV, ECOMOBILITY, SHAPEFUTURE, RIGOLETTO, R3-Mydas, and EdgeAI-Trust. The event focused on identifying the most widely accepted technological approaches emerging from current projects and exploring how these insights can support the development of future research and innovation initiatives.

Discussions addressed key aspects of technology deployment, including user acceptance, ethical considerations, regulatory frameworks, and strategies for strengthening European technological sovereignty. Through interactive exchanges, participants shared experiences, challenges, and best practices related to the adoption of advanced digital technologies in industrial and societal environments.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE EVENT:

STRENGTHENING COLLABORATION & PROJECT IMPACT

The workshop highlighted the value of collaboration between European projects addressing complementary technological challenges. By bringing together expertise from diverse application domains, participants were able to identify common priorities and opportunities for future cooperation in areas such as trustworthy AI, digital transformation, mobility, and advanced computing.

For EdgeAI-Trust, the event provided an opportunity to contribute insights from the project’s work on trustworthy and decentralized Edge AI while engaging with a broader ecosystem of researchers, innovators, and industry stakeholders. Such exchanges play an important role in ensuring that project outcomes remain aligned with emerging technological, regulatory, and societal needs.
