The EdgeAI-Trust consortium convened in beautiful Heraklion, Crete, for its second General Assembly (GA) meeting, hosted by TTTech Auto, one of the project’s key industrial partners. The two-day gathering marked an important milestone for the project, bringing together representatives from all 21 partners to present progress, align on upcoming milestones, and reinforce collaboration across technical and strategic work packages.

The meeting was graciously hosted by TTTech Auto, whose team offered both logistical coordination and insightful technical contributions. Their leadership in Work Package 3 and strong industry perspective helped shape productive discussions on architecture development, demonstrator planning, and integration of trustworthy AI into edge devices.

WELCOME BY PROJECT COORDINATOR MOHAMMAD ABUTEIR
The event was opened by Mohammad Abuteir, the project coordinator from TTTECH AUTO, who welcomed all participants and emphasized the importance of upcoming deliverables, cross-WP synergies, and stakeholder impact. His presentation outlined key objectives for the second project year, especially around demonstrator execution, AI validation, and engagement with regulatory and standardization bodies.

PROJECT-WIDE COLLABORATION & YEAR 1 MILESTONES:
Representatives from all partner institutions shared insights on their contributions, technical achievements, and coordination efforts. Key highlights included:
- Early architecture design and system-level requirements across edge AI components
- Progress on integration pathways for trustworthiness, safety, and real-time AI adaptation
- Establishment of cross-WP coordination mechanisms and demonstrator planning
- First results on standardization mapping and initial ethical/regulatory frameworks
- Launch of stakeholder engagement activities and preparation for wider ecosystem involvement
- Collaborative work on IPR, market study, and identification of key exploitable results
The meeting fostered strong alignment ahead of the upcoming Year 1 Review Meeting in Vienna, with all partners committed to delivering impactful, trustworthy edge AI solutions aligned with the Chips JU strategic goals.
MOVING FORWARD TO REVIEW PREPARATION
With the Year 1 Review Meeting in Vienna just days away, the GA in Crete served as a crucial checkpoint for internal alignment and preparation. Teams reviewed deliverable statuses, identified cross-cutting topics, and ensured readiness for presenting the project’s first-year results to the reviewers and Chips JU representatives.
